Christ Caring for People
Through People

We need the help of a patient, caring person who will listen. We need the help of someone who will not judge us and will be willing to walk and talk with us along the sometimes mysterious and bewildering pathway of our life.  Someone with whom we can share our greatest joys and deepest fears.  That someone is a Stephen Minister.

Central United Methodist Church
            602 258-8048

Fellowship luncheons are held four times a year.

In addition, Membership Care at Central United Methodist Church seeks to nurture and care for people in the congregation as they face the transitions and challenges of life.

Van Ministry

Each Sunday morning the van goes out to pick up children and adults who need a ride to Sunday School and worship. Volunteers take turns driving.

ViCaP

Central United Methodist Church participates in Volunteer Interfaith Caregivers (ViCaP), an interfaith cooperative effort to provide volunteer services for caregivers, homebound and disabled persons. ViCap volunteers help the homebound in our community who need assistance with shop-ping, transportation to doctor appointments, friendly visiting, etc. These volunteers are trained and coordinated through the Center D.O.A.R. (Developing Older Adult Resources).

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain Ministry provides continuous intercessory prayers for church members through a coordinated team system of passing received requests. The Prayer Chain also prays for the staff, church programs, and the prayer requests made by others outside our congregation. This ministry is sponsored by our United Methodist Women and is always looking for people who are willing to lift the needs of others before God.

Prayer requests can be submitted by signing the Guest book.
