Serving the Homeless at Watkins Community Center
We prepare and serve a hot meal two times a month to the women and families at the Watkins Community Center, Phoenix. We serve on the second Sunday, the fourth Sunday and the Monday following as well. All of the preparation is done in our Kendall Hall Kitchen by a crew of volunteers who have food handlers cards. Then another crew of volunteers picks up the food and take it to Watkins, serves it, and then returns to Central Church to clean up. For more information, please call the church office and leave a message for Paul Estes or come to the Kendall Hall Kitchen on the serving days at 1:00 pm to help prepare the meal or at 5:00pm to help deliver and serve the meal.
